Sun SPARC Enterprise M-Series Server XCP firmware comes already pre-installed on your M-Series system controller. This XCP firmware download is being made available to all M-Series server customers that would like to upgrade to the latest release or reinstall the XCP firmware. Oracle always recommends that you upgrade your systems to the latest available software and firmware versions whenever possible.

Bugs Fixed in this Release:

  • 17337119 DST change in timezone Asia Tel Aviv needs to be updated in XCP Firmware
  • 17348428 The CMEM_UNUSABLE_SYS_DOMAIN bit gets set, but is'nt cleared
  • 18183768 rsyncd cannot synchronize regularly after XSCF is switched by XSCF failure.
  • 18164678 XSCF changes to call patroldiag after fork() and exec() are executed.

  • NOTE 1: Bug 17049708 (rebootxscf caused deadlock condition due to defunct patroldiag process)is suspected to be a duplicate of bug 18164678, which is fixed in XCP1117. Customers experiencing bug 17049708 are advised to upgrade to XCP1117.
    NOTE 2: Due to bug 17544453, the clearfault command may fail if the user does not have the "mode" privilege. The "mode" privilege must be set with the setprivileges command before running clearfaults.
